Waterville High School
MGA Cast Stone was selected to work to replace 120 pieces of cast stone on the historic Waterville High School Building. The cast stones selected for replacement were banding, sills, lintels, medallions, spires, sign panels, and door surrounds. The existing cast stone was in poor condition and matching profiles required MGA to build some molds from historic photographs of the building taken in the 1930's when the building was first completed. This was a complex project requiring a variety of rubber, foam and wood molds. The color was buff and finish had a medium exposed aggregate to match the existing weathered finish. In all, the project was a great success and the replacement cast stone matched perfectly.
