53 Danforth Street
This residential building project has a great use of architectural precast throughout the building exterior. The architect used precast elements to enhance natural beauty of the brick as well as to bring out other building façade cladding. The types of architectural precast used on this project were window sills and lintels, a decorative banding at the roof line, and large structural lintels at all of the entrances to the parking garage on the ground floor. The largest of these lintels was 18’long and can be seen in the photos. This project was a great demonstration of the decorative and structural use of architectural precast concrete.
